03.06.2022 Victory Works Token: First round concluded

On April 1st 2022, a project began which broke new ground in the fields of art, finance and sports simultaneously. Working together, Sygnum Bank and Victory Works AG tokenized three selected works of art from the Victory Works Collection by artist David Pflugi.

The Victory Works are unique artefacts of global sporting history: Such works have been created in honour of every football world championship since 1998, and signed by all players of both teams participating in the respective tournament final.

The tokenized portfolio of three sculptures, which is planned to be auctioned at the end of the investment horizon of two to three years, to be made available in three tranches of tokens representing fractional ownership recognized under Swiss law. Following the auction process at the end of the investment horizon, each token holder will receive a share of the proceeds in accordance with the number of tokens owned.

We are proud to announce that the first tranche of Victory Works Tokens, which became available on April 1st 2022, is now oversubscribed, and will be available for trading on SygnEx, Sygnum's secondary market trading platform, starting June 1st 2022. The second tranche of tokens will be made available for subscription to Sygnum customers starting June 15th 2022.

Detailed presentations of the tokenized portfolio of three selected Victory Works are available on the official Victory Works website at, along with updates about the ongoing progress of this exciting and unique investment opportunity.

21.03.2022 Football world champions visit David Pflugi

Football legends in the world of art: On March 21st 2022, Frank Leboeuf (world champion with France in 1998) and Giancarlo Antognoni (world champion with Italy in 1982) came to David Pflugi's studio to sign new works of art in honour of football history, and got a tour of David's VICTORY WORKS.

They then participated in an event for invited guests, introducing the VICTORY WORKS tokenization project. Special guests also included legends of Swiss football (Gilbert Gress, Andy Egli, Stefan Wolf, Prisca Steinegger and Roger Wehrli), as well as VICTORY WORKS president Walter Gagg. A group photo was taken to commemorate the occasion.

Many thanks to all our guests for their wonderful visit!

08.03.2022 Victory Works tokenization

Over the course of more than two decades, David Pflugi has achieved something incredible: In honor of every Football World Cup from that of 1998 in France to that of 2018 in Russia, he has created a collection of large-scale works of art which have all been personally signed by all the players of both final teams of the respective World Cup. The purpose of these works, which are without precedent in both sports and art history - the Victory Works Collection - is to be auctioned to enable charitable donations benefitting children in need in developing countries. New works are also being prepared for Qatar 2022, for the purpose of being signed by the players of both finalists the day before the final.

Now, David Pflugi is breaking new artistic ground in a completely new way. Three selected works from the Victory Works Collection will be tokenized. Which is to say: It will be possible to acquire ownership shares in these three works in the form of crypto-tokens, and to trade these. After these works have been auctioned, profits will be distributed to the shareholders in proportion to the share of tokens owned.

The technical partner for issuing and trading the tokens is Sygnum Bank AG, which already made economic and art history in July 2021 by tokenising the work «Fillette au béret» by Pablo Picasso.
